What is the time frame?
The weekend begins Friday evening and ends late Sunday afternoon about 5PM. Check with your local area registrar for specific times. See the listing of local registrars on the Find a Weekend page. It is important for you to plan to be available for the entire weekend. This is an ENTIRE WEEKEND EVENT.

All husbands and wives who value their marriage.
Where are Marriage Encounter weekends held?
At a hotel, conference center, or church.

What about meals and accommodations?
Meals beginning with Saturday breakfast through Sunday lunch and reservations for two nights will be made for you when your application is accepted by Lutheran Marriage Encounter. You do not have to contact the facility. Please indicate any special dietary or medical needs on your application.
Will you have to speak in a group?
No, it is not required. You will listen to presentations as a group, but you will share privately with your spouse.
Do you have to be Lutheran to attend a weekend?
No. Husbands and wives of any faith are welcome.

What is the cost?
A $45.00 per couple application fee is required. Additionally, toward the end of the weekend, couples are given an opportunity to make a confidential contribution of whatever amount they wish toward the continuation of the program. Marriage Encounter does not request outside funding but relies on these weekend donations to enable the program to continue. Our prayer is that attending couples will feel inspired to make a generous donation in order to pass on this gift of a Marriage Encounter Weekend to other couples.
